Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive team. The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a positive experience through effective communication, technical knowledge, and sales skills. The ideal candidate will have dealership or mechanic experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service abilities. This role involves managing service appointments, explaining repair needs, upselling additional services, and handling cash transactions efficiently. A background in automotive repair and sales is preferred to provide comprehensive support to our customers and enhance service department revenue.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival and during their visit
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Explain recommended repairs and maintenance options clearly and transparently
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services
- Upsell additional services or products that meet customer needs while maintaining integrity
- Manage cash handling transactions accurately at the point of sale
- Schedule service appointments and follow up on pending work
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, repairs, and sales in the system
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through attentive service and communication
Skills
