Owned and operated by Community Living Toronto, Shadow Lake is a bustling summer home-away-from-home for over 500 guests with special needs and over 80 staff members.
We are seeking individuals to fill roles in our housekeeping, dining hall and laundry positions.
Housekeepers are responsible for day-to-day cleanliness of the camp, including but not limited to proper cleanliness and sanitation of designated areas. (Cabins, Dining Hall, Office ect), sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, replacement of cleaning supplies, laundering of camp linens and camper laundry.
Laundry responsibilities include responsibility for all campers laundry, daily required cleaning of laundry appliances and laundry room, inventory and replacement of cleaning suppliesl
At the discretion of the Maintenance Coordinator or other leadership may be asked to assist other members of maintenance team or office staff with related duties.
Experience
- Previous related experience in housekeeping is an asset.
- Experience in working with or around persons with intellectual disabilities is an asset.
We provide skill-building and training opportunities and are always looking for enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated staff.
Prior to the first day of camp, all staff participate in a week-long training program, and on-line orientation. Everyone is required to obtain a police check prior to starting work.
Candidates must pass a medical and be free of contagious disease in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and maintain appropriate immunizations.
