Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring high-quality food service for our guests. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety standards, excellent cooking skills, and the ability to work efficiently during morning hours. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, and a passion for creating delicious breakfast meals is essential.
Duties
- Prepare and cook breakfast items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food prep stations and cooking equipment
- Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with meal preparation for other menu items as needed
- Serve breakfast dishes to guests with professionalism and courtesy
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service, preferably within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety protocols and food handling procedures
- Excellent skills in meal preparation and cooking techniques specific to breakfast dishes
- Ability to serve guests efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Experience in the food industry or restaurant experience is highly desirable
