The CAD Operator will collaborate closely with internal staff to ensure accurate documentation and visualization of designs. Proficiency in multiple CAD/CAM platforms and working within an ISO 9001: 215 Standard organization
Responsibilities
- Operate CAD/CAM software to create production drawings, layouts, and nests
- Read and interpret customer-supplied designs in a variety of formats. Assist in the preparation of construction plans and layouts for various engineering disciplines.
- Collaborate with sale teams to ensure the quality of product and identify any issues
- Organize equipment, materials, time, and work area for maximum efficiency.
- Support the production department if needed to ensure quality
- Comply with the company system requirements as documented through the ISO 9001: 2015 Standard
Requirements
- Proven experience with CAD/CAM software or similar tools.
- Strong drafting skills with a solid understanding of schematics and technical documentation.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 company
- Read and interpret part drawings
- Mathematically inclined
- Proficient with Computers
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Knowledge of Carbon Steel grades and features (an asset)
