Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during visits. You will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health, perform preventive care, and educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Assess patients' oral health and document findings in the patient management system.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
- Assist in taking radiographs (X-rays) as needed for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar software.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations within the dental office.
- Provide exceptional customer service to create a welcoming environment for patients.
Requirements
- Valid dental hygienist license in the state of practice.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance communication with diverse patient populations.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is highly desirable, including knowledge of dental assisting practices.
- Familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
