Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely towing vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient operations. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, driving commercial trucks, and basic automotive repair skills. The Tow Truck Driver plays a vital role in assisting customers with vehicle emergencies while maintaining safety and professionalism at all times.
Duties
- Safely operate tow trucks to transport vehicles to designated locations or repair shops
- Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls and assist stranded motorists
- Inspect vehicles before and after towing to ensure proper handling and safety
- Maintain accurate records of all towing activities and related documentation
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and minor repairs when necessary, utilizing automotive repair knowledge
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate services
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tow truck and equipment
Qualifications
- Valid class 5 driver's license with clean record
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicles and automotive systems
- Prior experience in automotive repair or related field is preferred
- Customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment (nice-to-have)
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to towing and roadside assistance
- Ability to work independently, handle physically demanding tasks, strong problem-solving skills, and remaining calm under pressure
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- G-Endorsement (nice to have not required)
- 1A/ Air Endorsement (nice to have not required)
