ALTRA is seeking 2 AZ Drivers for its Hamilton location: One driver for Altra's 53 ft tractor-trailer and a second driver for the roll-off truck.
Your responsibilities will include:
- short-haul deliveries within the Golden Horseshoe and GTA regions
- loading and unloading heavy construction equipment and man lifts
- dropping off and picking up equipment for customers
- operating trucks such as semi-trucks and trailers (“low boys”) consistent with MTO guidelines
- maintaining a driver log
- working with customers on-site to ensure that all of their equipment needs are satisfied.

Skill Requirements
- Prior training and/or experience with similar commercial equipment an asset
- Must have experience driving standard transmission on transport trucks
- Experience driving flat-beds, Roll-off Trucks, and no-ramp trailers
- Chaining of loads
- Mechanical aptitude an asset
- Customer service and a “Can Do” attitude
Job Requirements
- Valid Driver’s license with AZ Certification
- Acceptable driver's abstract
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment
- Safe driving procedures
- Maintain a clean drivers record
- Diligent attention to safety
- Experience driving standard transmission
The physical expectations of this role include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting up to 75 pounds, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
