Rock Solid Refuge is a Christian residential treatment ministry for teenage boys struggling with addictions, behavioural challenges, family breakdown, and other life-controlling issues. Located on a 60-acre farm in beautiful southwest Saskatchewan, our 12–15 month live-in program helps young men experience transformation through Christ-centred discipleship, counselling, academics, mentorship, work projects, and healthy community living.
We are looking for mature, compassionate, and mission-minded individuals to join our team as Youth Care Workers.
This is not simply a job. It is an opportunity to invest deeply in the lives of struggling teenage boys while living and serving in close Christian community with other staff.
About the Role
Youth Care Workers play a central role in the daily life of our program. You will mentor, supervise, encourage, and support students throughout their day-to-day activities while helping create a safe, structured, and Christ-centred environment.
You will work alongside a team caring for approximately 8–10 students at a time through activities such as:
- Mentorship and relationship building
- Leading recreational activities and sports
- Gardening, farm, and outdoor projects
- Work projects and life-skills development
- Community living and daily routines
- Transportation and supervision
- Encouraging spiritual growth and healthy habits
This role requires emotional maturity, flexibility, teamwork, consistency, and a genuine heart for youth ministry.

Experience in youth ministry, counselling, mentoring, education, addictions recovery, camp ministry, or residential care is valuable, but we are also willing to train the right candidate with the right heart and character.

Schedule
- Full-time rotational shifts
- Average 40–44 hours per week
- Typically 4–6 days on shift followed by 4–6 days off
- Staff may live on-site while on shift
- Some overnight shifts may be required
Location
Rock Solid Refuge is located approximately 30 minutes from Shaunavon, Saskatchewan. Applicants must be willing to relocate, commute reliably, or live in optional staff housing.

Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to work in Canada
- Ability to work in-person in rural Saskatchewan
