The Erindale Academy (TEA) is a private high school inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education. TEA pursues a constructivist learning theory, with the concept of personalized, goal-oriented education that aims to maximize the student’s potential and helps them to successfully apply to their ideal university. We are looking for teacher, who can teach English, History, Social Sciences and Humanities courses for the upcoming academic year 2026-27.
The successful candidate will use a variety of teaching strategies to meet and support the diverse learning needs of students; incorporate a variety of creative tools and teaching practices to enhance student involvement, and through innovative means and the integration of new technologies, inspire students’ love towards learning at various levels.
The successful candidate will also provide additional instruction and support to students outside the classroom when needed. The willingness to participate fully in the life of the school and to demonstrate leadership in co-curricular activities, sports or clubs are also essential attributes.
The successful candidate must have:
- OCT certification in Intermediate and Senior Division
- Minimum 2-3 years of in-person and virtual secondary instruction
- Online teaching experience using ZOOM
- A demonstrated passion and commitment toward continued professional growth and development
- Strong communication skills with students, parents, and administrators
- Strong skills to work in a collaborative working environment
- Strong ability in practical classroom management skills and instructional strategies
- Working Experience with international students
- Able to use learning platform such as Moodle
- Familiar with Growing success and Ontario Curriculum
- Good classroom management skills
- Knowledge of Open Education Resources
- Proficient in computer applications
- Experience with interactive educational tools
