About JBA:
Artium Design Build + Just Basements is a luxury residential design‑build firm specializing in whole‑home and major renovations in the Ottawa region, with a reputation for thoughtful design, meticulous execution, and a premium client experience. Established in 1999, we integrate design, construction, and FF&E into a cohesive process that transforms homes and lifestyles.
We’re a whiteglove team that cares deeply about aesthetics, detail, and the way our projects feel to live in. As we grow, we’re looking for a marketing and brand partner who shares our passion for designing and building beautiful spaces and wants to help shape the next chapter of JBA.
Role overview:
We’re seeking a visually driven Brand & Content Manager to lead our content, digital marketing, and brand storytelling as we scale our renovation studio.
In this role, you will own how JBA shows up in the world: online, on social media, and in the minds of our clients. You’ll work closely with our owner, office manager, interior designers, visit project sites, capture stories, and turn them into compelling content and campaigns that attract the right clients.
This is a local, hybrid role (Ottawa‑based) with regular time in the office, on project sites, and some flexibility for remote work.
Key responsibilities:
- Brand storytelling & content
- Plan, create, and publish photo and video content that showcases our projects, process, and design aesthetic across our website, social media, and email.
- Develop case studies and project pages that highlight scope, budget, and design details in a way renovation clients can connect with.
- Website & digital presence
- Collaboratively with our web designer, maintain and update our website (portfolio pages, blog posts, guides) to keep it fresh, on‑brand, and conversion‑focused.
- Ensure our online presence reflects our standards: consistent visuals, clear messaging, and a smooth path for prospective clients to inquire.
- Social media management
- Own our Instagram presence as a curated, design‑led showcase of our work: grids, reels, stories, and behind‑the‑scenes looks at projects and team life.
- Experiment with other platforms (e.g., Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn) as appropriate, with a focus on quality and alignment rather than volume.
- Local visibility & reputation
- Manage our business listings and review profiles (e.g., Google Business Profile), keeping information current and coordinating client review requests.
- Support the promotion of events, collaborations, and community initiatives that align with the JBA brand.
- Campaigns & basic analytics
- Coordinate and implement simple digital campaigns (e.g., targeted search or social campaigns), working with external specialists as needed for technical pieces.
- Track basic performance metrics (traffic, inquiries, engagement, source of leads) and provide monthly summaries with insights and recommendations.
- Collaboration & support
- Collaborate closely with our office manager, interior designers and production manager to understand projects and capture the right stories at the right time.
- Provide marketing support for proposals and client communication (e.g., visuals, process diagrams, lookbooks) to help elevate the client experience.
You might be a great fit if…
- You have 2–5 years’ experience in marketing, content, or communications, ideally in interior design, architecture, luxury retail, real estate, or residential construction.
- You have a strong visual eye and care deeply about aesthetics, composition, and the way design is presented.
- You’re comfortable with:
- Social platforms (especially Instagram)
- Basic website content management (e.g., WordPress or similar)
- Tools like Canva and/or Adobe for layout and light design
- Simple analytics (Google Analytics or equivalent)
- CRM Platforms (ideally Builder Trend or Pipedrive)
- You enjoy being out in the field: visiting sites, photographing spaces, talking to designers and clients, and finding the story in each project.
- You’re a self‑starter who can plan, prioritize, and execute, and you like working in a small, high‑performing team where your work is visible and matters.
What we offer:
- The opportunity to own the brand and marketing function for a respected local luxury design‑build firm, not just “run social.”
- Direct collaboration with an experienced owner and interior design team, and deep exposure to high‑end residential projects.
- A creative, quality‑driven environment where aesthetics, client experience, and craftsmanship are taken seriously.
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, plus benefits (to be discussed), and room to grow as we scale.
Pay: $58,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Company events
- Mileage reimbursement
- On-site parking
- Wellness program
