The Subrogation Specialist ( Loss Transfer) is responsible for oversight and handling of Loss Transfer Recoveries/Payouts for automobile, long haul trucking, motorcycle, and recreational vehicle Accident Benefits claims. The claims are of varying complexity and severity.

Appropriately identify and pursue Loss Transfer recovery opportunities and reimburse Loss Transfer payouts in timely execution in adherence to Statute of Limitations period.

Investigate and quantify potential Loss Transfer recovery and reimbursement of Loss Transfer payout using Fault Determination Rules, police report, statements, and any other tools to assist.
- In collaboration with the Accident Benefit/ADR team and management approval, effectively negotiate outstanding Loss Transfer amounts and Fault Determination Rules with Third-Party carrier where applicable.

Attendance at Pre-Hearings and Private Arbitration Hearings with other team members may be required.

Post-secondary education or equivalent experience

CIP designation or working towards a CIP designation

Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience handling accident benefits claims or related experience

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skill

Strong organizational; decision making and problem-solving skillset
