About the Role
LAWN CHOP is hiring a reliable, hard‑working Lawn Mowing Labourer to join our field operations. This position involves mowing, trimming, blowing, driving a truck with a trailer to and from job sites, and general landscape maintenance on residential and commercial properties throughout Fort St. John. Work weeks include 4×10‑hour shifts, Monday–Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Complete weekly mowing routes efficiently and safely
- Perform spring/fall cleanups, light pruning, and debris removal
- Maintain clean, professional work standards on every property
- Follow company safety procedures and equipment handling guidelines
- Communicate clearly with the team and report issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Smartphone required to use the company work app for routes, job notes, and communication
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically fit: able to lift 50 lbs and walk for extended periods
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and strong work ethic
- Experience in lawn care or landscaping is an asset but not required
- Willing to provide a Criminal Record Check
- Willing to perform and pass Drug & Alcohol testing when required for commercial or industrial worksites
- Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Sign an Averaging Agreement to work 4×10‑hour days during the week, plus optional overtime
- Flexible availability due to weather‑dependent work (earlier, later, weekends as needed)
