Job Description
The Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing customer and dealership vehicles prior to delivery. This position plays a key role in presenting vehicles in a clean, professional manner and supporting the service department’s daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, dry, and detail customer and dealership vehicles
- Clean vehicle interiors, including vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and cleaning windows
- Ensure vehicles meet dealership appearance standards before return to customers
- Inspect vehicles for damage or maintenance concerns and report findings to management
- Safely move vehicles through the service and wash areas as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wash bay and surrounding areas
- Properly use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in wet, hot, or cold conditions
Work Environment
- Fast-paced dealership service department
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, water, and vehicle movement
Schedule
- Full-time Monday-Friday
- May include weekends or extended hours based on service volume
