Position Title: Skills Instructor, Futsal
Position Status: Part Time Hourly (Seasonal)
Reports To: Program Supervisor, Futsal Program
Compensation: $17.95/hour (starting)
Hours of work: Saturdays, 8:30am-2:15pm *shift may be longer depending on demand*

Job Overview
Skills Instructors will support our development programs by facilitating sessions within our Futsal program (ages U4-U7). Skills Instructors are leaders on the field and are responsible for set up, following a session plan, and providing a positive playing experience to all players. The program takes place for 10 weeks at Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School (200 Clair Road West).
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow and implement a session plan in accordance with Long Term Player Development and Club based curriculum.
- Lead/coach a group of players through a session plan while promoting a positive, inclusive, and fun environment.
- Help with setup each session by marking out the gymnasium floor with cones, setting up nets, and ensuring all equipment is stored safely after the session has concluded.
- Deliver exceptional customer service when interacting with parents, players, and other staff.
- Prioritize child well-being and safety of participants.
- Promote participation and encourage teamwork from players throughout the session.
- Attend coach development sessions as scheduled by Guelph Soccer Technical Director.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required to work weekends.
- Knowledge of soccer or sport leagues.
- Proven experience with children and youth.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates reliability, honesty, and integrity.
