We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing high-quality dishes consistently and efficiently. Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipe specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout shifts.
- Ensure preparation and setup for the next day’s work is completed on a daily basis.
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.
- May assist by performing dishwasher or other kitchen duties as needed.
- Wash and peel vegetables and fruits, assist with portioning, chopping, and storing food items, and support the preparation of sauces, soups, gravies, and other dishes
- Follow all company policies and procedures, Health and Safety procedures, and maintain good working practices.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Note: Associates will abide by the specific performance standards for their department as communicated to them by their manager.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy supplies as required
Certification and/or License Requirement: Asset (Food Handler Certificate)
