Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication and multitasking skills. The Server will play a vital role in upholding food safety standards and enhancing customer satisfaction through attentive service and upselling techniques.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and adherence to food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations
- Address guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent guest services and resolving issues promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively
- Hospitality or serving experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
