Job Summary
LUCKY TAIL Grooming & Daycare is seeking an experienced and dedicated Dog Groomer to join our team.
This role involves providing full grooming services for dogs and cats while maintaining high standards of safety, technique, and animal comfort. We are committed to a holistic, fear-free grooming approach that prioritizes the health and well-being of each pet.

We are seeking both Groomers and a Team Lead Groomer who share our commitment to compassionate, health-focused grooming and who are dedicated to delivering exceptional results for pets and their owners.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional grooming experience (required)
- OR completion of a grooming program plus relevant experience (preferred)
- Candidates with 5+ years of experience will be considered for senior/lead roles
- Home grooming experience only is not accepted
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and animal safety management
- High-level grooming skills with strong attention to detail and finish quality
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Responsible, reliable, and able to work with care and precision
Preferred Skills
- Hand stripping experience
- Traditional Poodle cuts
- Cat grooming experience
- Experience handling senior, nervous, or aggressive dogs
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards or customer preferences.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals during grooming sessions.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners and other members of staff about grooming options and pet care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including cleaning tools and equipment after each use.
- Handle pets safely and compassionately, including those that may be anxious or difficult to manage.
- Assist in lifting larger pets as needed, ensuring their safety during the grooming process.
- Stay updated on grooming techniques and trends to provide the best service possible.
Option to work commission based or hourly.
