This top transportation and e-commerce company is looking for a waybill agent to join their team! Great way to get your foot in the door!!
It is a long term assignment, but can lead to full time employment or the opportunity for other roles for the right candidates!
Job Duties
WAYBILL
- Analyzes correct information with Import and Customer Service employees
- Performs data entries and updates information as required by customs into AS 400
- Logs data as per special instructions from customers (ex: PO#, invoice # etc.)
- Manages accurate filing system and processes the documents according to their priority
- Flags any issues and coordinates with relevant personnel to resolve them
- Assigns barcode on files and documents, and delivers files to the concerned party
- Sorts all incoming Low Value Shipment (LVS) documents, and maintains proper invoicing records with back-up documentation
CUSTOMER ANALYST
- Reviews all documents and liaises with import personnel to confirm customer information
- Screens customer notes in order to ensure accuracy in Importer of Record (IOR) selection, billing accounts etc.
- Identifies the correct customer account number and lists them in the computer so it appears on the file
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Liaises with Import Coordinators and updates them on incomplete information
- Maintains up-to-date shipment status records (ex: dates, delivery information) and keeps relevant personnel posted on any developments
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications
- You must be very detail oriented with at least minimum 3-6 months data entry experience with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Experience with customs clearance, AS 400 and data entry
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, AS 400 system, and office equipment (fax machine / photocopiers /printers /scanners) & Lotus Notes
- Ability to work on tight deadlines and deliver quality results
