Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant for a part-time role at Scarlett House Food Group Inc. located in Canada. This position plays a vital role in supporting our team to deliver outstanding catering services that align with our mission of providing innovative culinary solutions and superior service.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients about events, offer suggestions to ensure requests are met and upselling functions.
- Cost out events in collaboration with your Manager and Kitchen Team.
- Develop proposals for catering functions assigned to you, proposals to be approved by your Manager before sending to client.
- Coordinate staffing requirements and staff scheduling including timecards.
- Develop staging lists for catered events, complete staging and ensure all required items are packed.
- Participate in site visits.Attend and assist events with supervising on-site production and clean-up as necessary,
- Serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters.
- Create and revise room layouts for catering events.
- Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings, maintain a clear and precise communication between department members, kitchen, client and event staff.
- Develop menu signs, labels and menu boards for catered events.
- Organize rentals, linens and coordinate all 3rd party vendors for catered events
- Organize and maintain all off-site staff uniforms for catered events.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and responsibilities with professionalism, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Ability to work under time pressure and perform effectively under stress.
- Other marketing related tasks as required
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanour, ethics, and image, and reinforce the importance of a high standard of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
- Ability to travel between to and from event sites, meetings, and suppliers.
- Other special projects as assigned by Event Coordinator, Director of Operations, VPs
- and President.
Pay: $23.00 per hour
