We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper/ Accountant on behalf of our client, a growing hospitality business. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Vancouver, BC. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience managing internal bookkeeping and accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day internal bookkeeping functions, including data entry and account setup
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions
- Prepare internal financial reports and trial balances to support management decision-making
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and financial tracking
- Support payroll processing, GST, and sales tax filings
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience in the hospitality industry or a similar fast-paced environment is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of internal bookkeeping processes
- Proficiency with accounting software
