Summary:
McFadden’s is searching for a candidate for the role of outside sales representative in the greater Halifax area. This is a new role, in an expanding sales region.
Responsibilities:
· Scheduling calls to existing accounts.
· Prospecting new customer accounts.
· Presenting products.
· Developing sales within a specified geographical territory.
Requirements:
· The ideal, career minded, candidate is already established within the area.
· 2+ years of experience in direct sales, industry experience is an asset.
· Strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
· A self starter, able to multi-task.
· Excellent communication, attention to detail and creativity are key skills.
· The candidate is preferably university or college educated.
Assertiveness, discipline and a desire to consistently improve will be inherent characteristics of the successful candidate.
The position will principally be on-site within the sales territory, with a hybrid component to the role.
