Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to ensure consistency
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supply needs
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred, especially in a kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards is essential
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking techniques, and serving in a fast-paced setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with the food industry standards for quality and presentation will be advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills combined with excellent communication abilities are necessary for success in this role
