Now Hiring for 2 roles:
1. Companion Care & Dementia Support Worker
Do you enjoy building meaningful relationships and providing companionship to seniors? We are seeking caring individuals to provide non-medical support to clients living independently or in supportive living communities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Engage clients in conversation, games, crafts, and meaningful activities
- Assist with outings, appointments, and recreational activities
- Encourage independence while promoting safety
- Support clients living with dementia using patience, understanding, and person-centered care
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and daily routines
- Document client observations and communicate concerns professionally
Qualifications:
- Experience working with seniors is an asset
- Dementia care experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, compassionate, and dependable
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Current First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
2. Exercise Therapy / Physiotherapy Assistant
Do you have a background in kinesiology, rehabilitation, fitness, physiotherapy assistance, occupational therapy assistance, or personal training? We are looking for motivated individuals to assist clients with individualized exercise and mobility programs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with prescribed exercise programs
- Encourage strength, balance, flexibility, and mobility
- Support walking programs and functional mobility
- Document client progress and observations
- Work closely with families and healthcare professionals when appropriate
- Promote client confidence, independence, and safety
Preferred Qualifications:
- Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA)
- Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
- Kinesiology
- Exercise Science
- Personal Training Certification
- Rehabilitation Assistant experience
- Equivalent experience working with seniors
Ideal Candidate:
- Motivating and encouraging
- Comfortable working one-on-one with seniors
- Strong understanding of body mechanics and safe mobility
- Compassionate, patient, and professional
