The Project Manager is responsible for leading industrial electrical projects while upholding Sheridan Electric’s core values. This includes organizing project documentation and drawings, estimating labor and material needs, coordinating with field personnel, managing job costs to ensure profitability, and overseeing project timelines. Project Manager help ensure Sheridan Electric delivers on its brand promise—every day, on every project.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by being proactive, responsive, and solutions-focused. Ensure clients feel heard, informed, and prioritized throughout the project lifecycle, treating every interaction as an opportunity to earn long-term trust and future business.

Set clear expectations early and communicate frequently—especially regarding schedule updates, delays, or changes. Resolve issues quickly and respectfully with a mindset of service and accountability.

Manage and execute electrical projects to ensure completion on time, on budget, and to specification.

Prepare timely estimates for labor and material requirements related to quotes and change orders.

Read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical issues involving power systems and industrial machinery, particularly in urgent or emergency situations.

Review and approve project invoices and costs with attention to detail and budget accuracy.

Organize and supervise forepersons and electricians to meet project goals and performance expectations effectively and efficiently.

Promote Sheridan’s full range of services and identify additional opportunities at customer sites.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety practices on site.

Follow up on completed work to confirm customer satisfaction and project closeout
Experience Required:
-
You must possess a valid 309A Electrical License and be an active member with Skilled Trades Ontario,
-
8-10 Years electrical experience in an industrial setting with proven experience in industrial food & beverage, logistics, process control, heavy power or water-treatment industries
-
5 years experience quoting projects and being involved with project management including estimating / takeoffs
-
Well versed in change management, customer communication, submittals, drawings review, as-builts, dealing with utilities / ESA, and customer communication and more.

Post-secondary education in electrical techniques or a related field is considered an asset,
-
PMP certification would be considered an asset
-
Solid knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code,

Must possess a valid class G Driver’s License, or better, with a clean driving record,

Excellent written and verbal communication skills,

Able to work in a fast-paced environment,

Highly motivated, positive and entrepreneurial attitude.
