About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented PE Mixer / Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and maintaining extrusion mixing lines to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and supply each extrusion line with the correct mix, tooling, gauges, labels, glue nozzles, and accessories required for production
- Set up tooling including dies, mandrels, heaters, skinners, blowers, and related equipment using setup sheets
- Verify and load proper raw materials into blender systems using computer-controlled recipes and setup references
- Calibrate and zero blender controllers according to product mix requirements
- Enter operator information and work order details into the production system
- Monitor extrusion line mixes and production trends using computer systems
- Maintain adequate raw material supply for production lines
- Respond to and troubleshoot alarms such as blender or gas alarms
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following EHS and 5S standards
- Participate in workplace safety and continuous improvement initiatives
- Be available for overtime and emergency coverage when required
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Basic math skills (addition, multiplication, measurements, etc.)
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs regularly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous manufacturing or mixing/blending experience is considered an asset
- Must be medically fit to perform job duties
