Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our chronic pain clinic. The ideal candidate will provide quality patient care in our office. The LPN will be responsible for assisting with the infusion clinic. Candidate must be skilled in IV insertions as well. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with a team.
Duties
- Reviewing handouts/information with patients and educating patients of their procedure and answering questions.
- Patient assessment.
- Handle medications as per manufacturer and health Canada guidelines.
- Document patient care services and manage records in accordance with clinic policies.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedure rules and regulations.
- Care for patients including intravenous infusions.
- Help front desk.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the province of practice.
- ACLS/PALS.
- Must be experienced in starting intravenous infusions.
- Must be registered with College.
- Familiarity with case management practices in healthcare settings.
- Able to take direction with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems, particularly Healthquest and Netcare.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism.
- At least 1 year experience.
