JOB PURPOSE:
We are currently searching for Registered Nurses to serve the customers by providing healthcare services on a daily basis while exceeding customer expectations.

Job Duties:
- Ensure resident care is provided with established nursing standards and principles, follow physician's orders and administrative policies, as well as, observe, report and record vital signs, symptoms and conditions of residents.
- Develop, implement, review and evaluate resident care plans. Monitor residents health conditions, changes in condition and assess need for referral to doctors; processes and implement physicians orders.
- Plan, direct, supervise and evaluate the work of nursing and personal care staff assigned to the unit. Orient and train new personnel and may participate in in-service education.
- Monitor performance and conduct performance appraisal and refer problems to the Director of Care.
- Assist in preparing the Facility for RAI MDS.
- Take charge of the Facility in the absence of the charge nurse.
- Staff assignment ,delegation and replacement tasks.

- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices, as well as Knowledge in Infection Control Practices.

- Ensure that resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe
- Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts .Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs of the residents.

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) required.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
..Current BCLS certificate, if applicable
- Previous managerial experience in long-term care, preferred.
- Experience dealing with the cognitively impaired.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with seniors.
- Basic computer proficiency • Strong written and verbal English communication skills • Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, the appropriate sections of the Health Disciplines Act, Occupation Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food and Drugs Act (Canada), Narcotic Control Act (Canada), Coroners Act, College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice and other pertinent Federal, Provincial and Municipal Statues which influence the operation of the Nursing Home and more specifically the nursing department. • Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check,within 1 year (preferred)
- Medical clearance (including but not limited to TB tests. All staff are required to provide proof of vaccination,upon request from designated homes
. Adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wear a mask at all times as per LTC policy.
