We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals eager to learn and develop their skills in the fireproofing construction trade. The Junior Apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of tasks related to fireproofing and firestopping. This role is ideal for those who have a passion for building and restoration and are looking to start their career in the fireproofing industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled fireproofers in various tasks including mixing product and prepping sites, assisting the sprayer and learning how to apply the fireproofing material.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Participate in the installation of fireproofing material.
- Use hand tools effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow instructions from supervisors while demonstrating a willingness to learn new techniques.
- Collaborate with team members on projects to ensure timely completion.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge or experience with hand tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with fireproofing processes and terminology is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong interest in learning about fireproofing installation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and taking on responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$27.50 per hour
