DAY SHIFT SERVER
Note: Must be available Tuesday to Friday 11am - 4pm
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server / Bartender to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and experience in food service environments. Prior experience with POS systems such as TOAST is appreciated. This is a fast, busy restaurant
Duties
- Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately while engaging with guests in a professional manner
- Operate POS systems, including Micros, to process orders and payments efficiently
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to food safety and alcohol service regulations
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy and maintain proper cash handling procedures
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas throughout shifts
- Assist in food preparation or garnishing as needed, following food safety standards
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer service
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred, especially in serving or bartending roles
- Knowledge of POS systems such as TOAST
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality mindset with a friendly demeanor and teamwork orientation
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
