Job Overview
Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre Calgary Airport is looking for a reliable and motivated individual for the position of Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, supporting food preparation, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a strong commitment to food safety standards. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling under the supervision of kitchen staff
- Support food service operations by maintaining cleanliness in the dining area and kitchen workspace
- Help with basic food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen workflow
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment by following proper cleaning procedures
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant, food service, or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting dishes or supplies
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and food service operations
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen staff and restaurant operations
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
