Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Caretaker/Maintenance professional to join our team. This role involves maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance knowledge, along with customer service skills. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proactive problem-solving are essential. We will train you on systems.
The job is live in. You will live and work in Coal River BC. Food, WIFI, room and board included. We're very remote and if you're picked for the year round team you will work in some of the harshest conditions the north has to offer.
We'd prefer an employee who has their own transportation but we will fly you in and pick you up at the nearest airport. Those who travel to Coal River will have their fuel paid.
We don't require experience but trades experience would make you an asset.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and repair to the best of your abilities, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently
- Work alone or with others during projects or repairs
- Maintain grounds, generators and anything else that supports daily operations
- Assist in facilities upgrades, renovations, or new installations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility concerns promptly
- Welding, mechanical, plumbing skills or electrical experience preferred
- Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical diagrams
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination
- Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solvingThis role is vital for ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and the upkeep of our facilities. Pay: $1,000.00-$1,200.00 per week
