Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Manage inventory by receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision
- Process prescriptions accurately using pharmacy software systems
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and billing procedures
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate medication administration and patient care needs
Qualifications
- Previous hospital or pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy management systems preferred
- Certification as a pharmacy technician or related healthcare training is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team and follow strict confidentiality protocols
Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
