We are looking for a knowledgeable and dependable Horticulturalist to maintain and improve the health, appearance, and long-term sustainability of landscaping across three commercial properties in the west end of the Greater Toronto Area.

A reliable vehicle is required as travel between sites is part of the role.
Monitor the health of trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, and ornamental plants.
Perform seasonal planting, transplanting, pruning, deadheading, dividing, and general plant care.
Identify plant diseases, insects, nutrient deficiencies, and other horticultural issues, and recommend or implement appropriate treatments.
Weed, edge, mulch, cultivate, and maintain planting beds.
Fertilize, water, and monitor irrigation systems where applicable.
Develop and maintain seasonal planting plans to enhance the appearance of each property.
Recommend improvements to landscaping and planting designs.
Coordinate replacement of damaged or unhealthy plants.
Ensure all gardens and landscaped areas remain clean, healthy, and visually appealing.
Operate and maintain horticultural tools and equipment safely.
Keep accurate records of work completed and report maintenance needs.
Communicate regularly with management regarding property conditions and recommendations.
Diploma or Certificate in Horticulture, Landscape Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 2 years of horticultural or landscape maintenance experience.
Strong knowledge of Ontario plants, shrubs, trees, flowers, and seasonal planting.
Experience identifying common plant diseases, pests, and treatment methods.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence.
Reliable personal vehicle required for travel between three work sites.
Landscape Ontario certifications.
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) knowledge.
Experience with commercial or condominium properties.
Basic irrigation troubleshooting experience.
Flexible part-time schedule (3 days per week).
