Duties
- Perform a variety of braid styles including box braids, cornrows, twists, and other intricate designs tailored to each client’s preferences
- Provide personalized consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles and maintenance tips
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the salon, including tools, workstations, and common areas
- Engage with clients in a friendly, professional manner to ensure a positive experience from greeting to checkout
- Upsell styling services that complement clients’ looks while enhancing their overall experience
- Educate clients on proper hair care routines and retail products to promote healthy hair and repeat business
Experience
- Proven experience as a professional braid stylist or in a similar hair styling role with a strong portfolio of braided styles
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and actively listen to client needs
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a hygienic salon environment
- *Prior experience working in a retail or salon setting is preferred but not required*; enthusiasm for learning is valued highly
Stylist might be needed towards the weekday or weekends.
