Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will assist with medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient interactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Previous hospital or pharmacy technician experience is preferred, along with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage inventory, including restocking supplies and verifying medication stock levels
- Prepare and label prescriptions according to pharmacy protocols
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance on medication usage
- Maintain detailed records of medication transactions and patient interactions
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, including proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing patient records
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient service delivery
Skills
- Prior experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to prevent errors
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
