There are TWO positions available
*ONE operates on a DAY shift “4 on / 4 off” schedule, working 12-hour night shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (including a one-hour lunch).
*ONE position operates on a NIGHT shift “4 on / 4 off” schedule, working 12-hour day shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM (including a one-hour lunch).
What you need/Qualifications:
· Prior Transportation Knowledge - 1 to 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatching or track and tracing role. (considered an asset)
· Geographical knowledge (Continental USA, Mexico and Canada)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook and Word)
· Ability to work with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), GPS Tracking tools and Online carrier portals.
· Experience with Calculating transit times (asset but not required)
· Strong Communication of English Language (read/write/verbal)
· Positive & Professional attitude, Strong customer service focus
· Self motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
· Strong decision making skills under pressure, in time sensitive situations
· Strong Organizational and Time Management skills
· Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities due to operational demands
· Attention to detail when completing documentation
· Ability to problem solve and improve processes
· Post secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Tracking and Tracing (document required shipment details, identifying delays, ensuring accuracy and documenting discrepancies, proactive analysis to prevent service failures)
· Customer Relationship (monitor all steps of shipment through to delivery; obtain POD copies for all shipments and update the customer, Consistent and professional communications; effective, prompt and courteous communications with respect to difficult situations, relaying details and solutions.)
· Carrier Relationship (Productive carrier relationship development, AP Discrepancy resolution, cover loads, handling and management of difficult situations, etc.)
· Order Entry/Contracting (inputting freight details to facilitate the movement of our customer’s freight)
· Coordinate and monitor shipment bookings with Wellington offices and other services providers including carriers and freight forwarders.
· Confirm, monitor, verify accuracy of shipments picked up from various client locations (identify delays, discrepancies or issues that may arise during transit and take proactive measures to find resolutions)
· Continued education regarding legislation, compliance and regulation standards
· Continuous Improvement: evaluate and improve tracking and tracing processes, systems and procedure to enhance efficiency, accuracy and reliability
· Commitment to Quality Assurance: follow principles of GMP and QMS relevant to job responsibilities.
