The Bertossi Group’s incredible luxury Cafe , Pane e Circo is seeking a dynamic and outgoing Cafe Manager who possesses a passion for luxury hospitality, along with an interest in leading the team in providing an elevated dining experience across our cafe.
Pane e Circo offers the same incredible dining experience as the beloved Bertossi Group Restaurants, while providing guests with the ability to enjoy an array of high end pastries, prepared food, coffee & alcoholic beverages, as well as our own brand of retail product.
Job Description
The successful candidate will have a passion for exceptional hospitality and will know how to elevate the guest experience in Halifax's most luxury cafes - while developing the staff to provide incredible service.
As Cafe Manager, you will report to the Dining Operations Manager and oversee all aspects of food service, provide support in creating a team environment, which fosters inclusivity and positive connections. You will strive to achieve store success by directing and leading the team to achieve store objectives, which include sales and profit goals, recruiting, performance management, training, and development.
This position offers a base salary & gratuities that total more than $85,000 annually.
Job Duties
- Ensure the cafe is providing the highest level of hospitality, while enhancing the guest experience in every way possible
- Leading a dynamic team of cafe servers to uphold service & product quality standards
- Share their wealth of knowledge with inquiring guests on the wide range of products we offer, to maximize guest experience and sales
- Lead by example in all aspects of management, from guest interactions to cleanliness
Qualifications
- You have at least 2+ years of leadership and or supervisory experience in an elevated hospitality based environment
- Proven ability to lead teams to success through strong sales performance in high end hospitality environments
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, and weekends is required
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while also being committed to creating an amazing customer experience
- A Post-Secondary education or equivalent
- Previous Barista experience considered an asset
- Knowledge of cheese and charcuterie considered an asset
