Safeside Traffic Control LTD. is hiring full-time Traffic Control Persons (TCPs). This position requires full-time availability Monday to Friday and the ability to report to job sites anywhere between West Vancouver and Chilliwack.
This role is best suited for dependable, safety-focused individuals seeking consistent weekday work, long hours when required, and long-term stability.
Responsibilities
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control zones according to approved Traffic Management Plans
- Safely direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic using signs, cones, and hand signals
- Remain alert to hazards and changing site conditions at all times
- Communicate clearly with crew members, supervisors, and the public
- Complete daily FLRAs and timesheets accurately and on time
- Follow all WorkSafeBC regulations and Safeside Traffic Control LTD. safety policies
- Arrive on site a minimum of 15 minutes early, prepared for shift start
Mandatory Availability & Travel Requirement
- Full-time availability is required: Monday to Friday (five days per week)
- You must be available and able to report to job sites anywhere between West Vancouver and Chilliwack
- Reliable transportation is required
- Weekend work is optional
- This position is not suitable for part-time, casual, or limited-availability applicants
Requirements
- Valid TCP certification (single TCP ticket required)
- Full-time availability Monday to Friday (required)
- Ability to travel to job sites anywhere between West Vancouver and Chilliwack
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically capable of standing for long periods
- CSA-approved 6-inch steel-toed boots are required
- Ankle-height steel-toed boots are not accepted
- Strong attention to safety, reliability, and detail
Schedule
- Monday to Friday: Full-time
- Early morning start times as early as 5:00 a.m.
- Shifts can be long and may exceed 12 hours
- Hours vary depending on project requirements
- Weekend work optional
