LDI is located in Robinson‑Superior Treaty territory, on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg and the Métis. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Manager, People and will work four (4) day on three (3) day off rotation at the mine site.
Responsibilities
Senior level human resources functions in the areas of recruitment: talent management including employee engagement, leadership development and career & succession planning.
Employee training, compensation, managing departmental budget, performance management and human resources processes
A key requirement of the role will be to build relationships with the business, becoming a “trusted advisor”, a driver and facilitator of change- translating business unit needs into Human Resources requirements as well as consulting and partnering with site leadership to achieve business objectives
Qualifications
Must possess a post-secondary degree or a diploma, with a concentration in human resources management, social sciences or equivalent
Five to Ten years’ experience in the Human Resources field
CHRP would be an asset
Candidates should also possess strong leadership skills: the ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate client’s needs and make sound recommendations for implementation: as well as sound working knowledge of employment law including Employment standards, OH&S Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontario Labor Relations Act, and good general knowledge of the human resources disciplines and management practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office are a must. Experience working with 4Site and a HRIS platform would be an asset.
