We are looking for an HR Generalist to support leaders and associates across our Ontario field operations. This role provides a broad range of HR support across employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, organizational change, Workday administration, compliance, and special projects. The successful candidate is a trusted HR partner who builds strong relationships, exercises sound judgment, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
This role requires regular onsite presence, with an expectation of approximately three days per week split between the Burlington Corporate Office, Brampton Distribution Center, Woodbridge and other branch locations across Ontario as necessary.
Travel within Ontario is required.

What you will do:
Partner with operational leaders to provide coaching and guidance on employee relations, performance management, attendance management, workplace accommodations, investigations, discipline, and terminations.
Accountable for Workday administration to support field HR Business Partners, employee relations, onboarding, performance and talent management, training, and special projects.
Coach and assist managers on employee relations, organizational policies, and termination processes in field environments.
Assist in identifying, evaluating, and resolving human relations and work performance issues to facilitate communication and improve employee relations.
Manage complex staffing responsibilities including employee relations matters, investigations, dispute resolution, terminations, and the administration of disciplinary processes with discretion and professionalism.
Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to manage recruitment needs.
Lead and support full-cycle organizational change initiatives, including job profile and job description development, compensation analysis, offer letter preparation, and timely Workday updates.
Support the annual talent cycle including; performance, talent review, and compensation by providing coaching to leaders and associates.
Prepare reports to support the needs of various business units.
Maintain compliance with federal and provincial employment legislation.
Serve as a trusted link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting policies, and helping resolve work-related issues.
What you will bring:
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably supporting multiple operational locations in a field-based environment.
CHRP designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
Experience using Workday or another Human Resources Information System (HRIS) is an asset.
Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and demonstrated ability to apply legislation in practical business situations.
Proven experience managing employee relations matters including investigations, performance management, accommodations, attendance management, and disciplinary processes.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and a solutions-focused approach.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Valid driver's licence and the ability to travel throughout Ontario, with regular travel to Burlington Corporate office and GTA surrounding areas.
