Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food industry standards, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively during busy hours. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cashiering, and customer engagement.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage cashier responsibilities such as taking payments, giving change, and processing transactions accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and addressing concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety and quality standards
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours smoothly
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings if necessary

Pay: $15.00-$20.32 per hour
