(Client Service Representative)
Location: Southwest Veterinary Hospital
Position: Part-time / Full-time | Evenings, overnights & weekends required
Southwest Veterinary Hospital is seeking a calm, compassionate, and highly organized Emergency / Urgent Care Veterinary Receptionist to join our emergency team. This role is critical in supporting clients during some of the most stressful moments of pet ownership while helping ensure the smooth flow of urgent and emergency cases through the hospital.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and support clients during emergency and urgent care visits with empathy and professionalism
- Answer phones and appropriately triage calls alongside the medical team
- Obtain client and patient information
- Send medical records to referring clinics
- Manage emergency intake, estimates, invoicing, and payment processing accurately
- Communicate clearly and efficiently with DVMs, RVTs
- Support clinic flow during peak emergency hours
What We’re Looking For
- Previous veterinary, emergency, or medical reception experience strongly preferred
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and compassionate under pressure
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail, especially with invoicing and estimates
- Comfortable handling sensitive conversations, including financial and end-of-life discussions
- Proficient with computers; experience with AVImark or similar software is an asset
- Team-focused, adaptable, and dependable
