We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Administrator to join our team in Nanton, Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in accounting and administration while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment.
Reporting to the Accounting & Office Manager, the Accounting Administrator will support accounts payable, reporting, and general office administration functions. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to accuracy and customer service.
This position is offered as a 6–12 month contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on business needs and performance.
Core Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices, coding, data entry, and payment preparation.

Assist with accounts payable reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.

Reconcile company credit card transactions and employee expense submissions.

Maintain organized accounting documentation and electronic filing systems.

Prepare weekly and monthly accounting and operational reports.

Assist with data entry and report generation as required.

Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to general inquiries.

Order office supplies and support day-to-day office operations.

Maintain records, files, and administrative documentation in a paperless environment.

Provide administrative support to the Finance and Operations teams.

Support special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

High school diploma required.

Previous accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, or customer service experience is an asset but not required.

Basic understanding of accounting principles is considered an asset.

Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
