Overview
Ideal for a student, we are seeking an energetic individual to join our team as a Bell Person for the busy summer season at our hotel. This position will start in June and run to September with the possibility of extension depending on the hotel's occupancy and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, providing a positive first impression
- Assist guests with luggage, including loading and unloading vehicles and delivering luggage to rooms
- Provide directions, information about hotel amenities, and local attractions to guests
- Assist our Front Desk & Housekeeping teams to respond to guest requests, deliver supplies, assist with stripping guest rooms of laundry/garbage
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lobby, front desk area and throughout the hotel
- Support guest services by addressing special requests promptly and professionally
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service at all times
- May be trained on Front Desk systems to assist with guest check in, check out or reservations
Experience
- Previous experience in a customer service environment is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Able to communicate effectively with team and guests in English, other languages are bonus but not required
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting luggage, standing for extended periods, walking around the building, up & down stairs
- Knowledgeable & familiarity regarding office technology, computers, phone systems
