Retail Recreational Cannabis Sales Associate (Budtender) URBN Leaf – Wembley
Temporary Maternity Leave Position (Up to 6 Months)
URBN Leaf Wembley is looking for a passionate, customer-focused Cannabis Sales Associate (Budtender) to join our team on a temporary maternity leave contract (up to 6 months with the potential to move to permenant).
We’re seeking someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, thrives in a team environment, and is eager to grow their knowledge of recreational cannabis. If you’re reliable, personable, and excited about creating a welcoming and educational shopping experience, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build lasting customer relationships
- Educate customers and help them confidently choose products that suit their needs
- Contribute to a knowledgeable and positive store culture
- Maintain compliance with AGLC regulations and all safety standards
- Promote a safe, secure, and professional buying experience
- Operate POS systems and handle transactions accurately
- Work collaboratively with your team to maintain a clean, organized store
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Passion for cannabis and eagerness to expand product knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Comfortable using computer-based sales systems
- Flexible availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Valid AGLC SellSafe certification (required prior to or shortly after hire)
- Customer service experience preferred (1+ year considered an asset)
Position Details:
- Job Type: Temporary (Maternity Leave Coverage – Up to 18 Months)
- Schedule: Part-Time (4–8 hour shifts, including evenings & weekends)
- Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour
- Work Location: In person – URBN Leaf Wembley
