We are seeking an experienced Directional Driller to join our team! The successful individual will be part of a team responsible for the safe and successful execution of a variety of utility construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and confidently operate horizontal directional drill
- Safely transport equipment to and from job site
- Install underground infrastructure based on client prints, adhering to alignments indicated
- Review all necessary utility locate documentation to identify any locations that there may be conflicting utilities
- Review the drill path and all required safety measures with crew members onsite prior to drilling
- Maintain communication with the locator to confirm the location of the drill head
- Demonstrate appropriate time management while on the jobsite
- Conduct post-job quality checks
- Follows specifications for the job and company policies
- Work with clients to effectively problem solve any concerns with prints and/or proposed placement
- Strive for optimal production while working safely and performing quality work
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience operating a horizontal directional drill
- Strong knowledge of underground utilities
- Ability to read and understand design prints
- Comprehend and communicate client and company project specifications
- Adhere to all safety standards
- Ability to motivate self and lead a crew to perform quality work
