421A Heavy Equipment Technician / 310T Mechanic (Ottawa, ON.)

Are you a licensed 421A Heavy Equipment Technician or an experienced 310T Mechanic looking for something different?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established heavy equipment company that has been servicing customers throughout Eastern Ontario for more than 25 years. The company specializes in the sales, service, and repair of lifting and material handling equipment and has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer service.
With continued growth, they are looking to add two technicians to their team:
- Shop Technician – Primarily repairing and servicing cranes in a modern shop environment.
- Field Service Technician – Providing service and repairs on forklifts at customer sites throughout the region.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Diagnose, repair and maintain heavy equipment, cranes and material handling equipment.
- Perform mechanical, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting.
- Complete preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
- Deliver professional customer service while maintaining a safe work environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Licensed 421A Heavy Equipment Technician preferred.
- Experienced 310T Truck & Trailer Mechanics interested in transitioning into heavy equipment are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, construction equipment or other heavy machinery will also be considered.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform electrical diagnostics.
- Valid driver's licence.
What's Offered:
- $35.00 - $45.00/hour, with flexibility for exceptional experience.
- Monday to Friday, day shifts - 44 hours per week guaranteed (no weekends, overtime available)
