Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Freelance Videographer to join our creative team at Coala Studio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video content for various projects, including promotional videos, social media content, and corporate materials. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate on diverse visual storytelling initiatives, bringing ideas to life through compelling visuals and engaging narratives.
Job Location - Vancouver Island, Victoria, Nanaimo or nearby.
Duties
- Film and record video footage using professional equipment in various settings as outlined in detailed briefs provided by our Creative Strategist.
- Show up on time, and exhibit professionalism at shoots - we take this very seriously.
- Find opportunities for shot suggestions, lighting, etc.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project goals and deliver creative solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and project specifications.
- Stay updated on the latest videography techniques, tools, and industry trends.
Skills
- Must have experience capturing high-quality, impact-driven Social Media content
- Experience with Final Cut Pro or other professional editing software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, and sound recording techniques.
- Excellent storytelling skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a freelance capacity.
- Creative mindset with the ability to adapt to different styles and project requirements.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
This opportunity requires the candidate to have their own equipment, including camera, lighting, gimbal, etc.

Pay: $30.00-$75.00 per hour
