The Mechanic Helper will work with a skilled and collaborative shop team to ensure the maintenance of diesel and gas equipment necessary for the successful operation of the farm. The Mechanic Helper will join a rewarding environment with opportunities to develop their professional experience in the agricultural industry.
This is a bilingual (English and Spanish) position.
As part of this team, the candidate will:
- Coordinate with maintenance teams in English and Spanish on a daily basis, including some translation as required.
- Order and pickup parts; Maintain parts inventory.
- Assist with diagnostic, service, and preventative maintenance on various farm implements and vehicles.
- Keep and maintain accurate daily log of activities.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Support a team-focused, respectful, and collaborative environment; Contribute ideas to improve equipment uptime, shop flow, and overall efficiency.
- Additional duties as needed.
Job requirements:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and in heat.
- Must be comfortable with moderate physical activity, including walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50lbs.
- Must have a valid class G license and be comfortable driving farm vehicles, including SUVs, vans, and/or pickup trucks.
- 1-2 years of experience with agricultural equipment
