Job Summary
Global Kids Academy is a kindergarten, preschool and early learning centre (daycare) for children aged 1 to 6. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. This role involves fostering developmental growth, supporting individual needs, and promoting positive social interactions. Candidates with a passion for working with children and experience in early childhood education are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Supervise and interact with children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and improve program quality
- Document children's developmental milestones and behavior observations for ongoing assessment
Required Documents
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certificate (Level 2 or 3)
- Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR
- Clear Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search
